Geographic Sections

GSA's six Geographic Sections have their own boards and host regional scientific meetings across North America. These meetings attract geoscience students and offer learning and networking close to home. Sections also provide travel grants, including support for the GSA annual meeting, and research grants.

Current Meetings and Section Information

GSA Section Meetings are excellent venues for interdisciplinary science, hubs for discussing and presenting current research, and a place where professionals and students network. They allow students to attend and participate in technical sessions, field trips, and short courses close to their schools.
