No, there is no age limit for applying to the OTF program as a scholar or mentor.

Initiated in 2013 with support from the GSA President, Council, and Foundation, the program formed part of GSA's 125th anniversary celebrations. With funding from individual members and donors, corporate sponsors, and GSA’s Sections, Divisions, and Associated Societies, OTF will continue to support geoscience scholars and mentors to attend the GSA Connects annual conference.

Yes. The Geological Society of America's On To the Future® (OTF) logo is available for use by program participants, members, supporters, and partners to help promote awareness of OTF and its activities. Please download the logo and follow the guidelines below.

Permitted Uses

You may use the OTF logo in:

• Conference poster presentations
• Scientific presentations and slide decks
• Educational and outreach materials
• Event promotions related to OTF activities
• Websites, newsletters, and social media posts that reference OTF programs, initiatives, or participation

Usage Requirements

• The logo must be used in its original form and may not be altered, stretched, recolored, cropped, or otherwise modified.
• Maintain adequate clear space around the logo to ensure visibility and legibility.
• Use of the logo must not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership by OTF or The Geological Society of America unless expressly authorized.
• The logo may not be incorporated into another logo, trademark, or visual identity.

Prohibited Uses

The OTF logo may not be used:

• For commercial purposes without prior written permission
• On products or merchandise intended for sale
• In any manner that misrepresents OTF, GSA, or the organization's mission and programs

OTF reserves the right to request the removal of the logo from any use that does not comply with these guidelines.
