Geoscience shapes the world we live in, from the ground beneath our feet to the policies that protect our planet. At GSA, we believe the people who study Earth's story have a responsibility—and an incredible opportunity—to share it. That's why we're looking for passionate, authentic voices to join our Ambassador Program and help bring the geoscience community to life on social media.
About the GSA Ambassador Program
As a GSA Ambassador, you'll be a year-round advocate for GSA and the broader geoscience community—creating authentic content that highlights the people, programs, science, and experiences that make GSA a home for geoscientists everywhere. Each Ambassador will be matched with a GSA event based on availability, location, and fit—either GSA Connects 2026 in Denver, Colorado, or a 2027 GSA Section Meeting. All Ambassadors receive the same core perks regardless of event assignment.
What you'll receive:
- Event Perks:
- Complimentary full meeting registration for your assigned GSA event
- Where possible, GSA will work to cover the cost of a field trip or short course registration for your assigned event—subject to availability
- Where possible, GSA will work to provide travel assistance to your assigned event—subject to availability and program needs

- Visibility through collaboration with GSA's social media channels
- Early access to GSA announcements, publications, and program launches
- Direct connection with GSA's Marketing & Communications team
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for geoscience and science communication
- Active presence on social media platforms
- Ability to attend your assigned GSA event
- Comfort creating short-form vertical video content
- Willingness to collaborate with GSA's Marketing team and submit content for review
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected candidates will be contacted for a brief informal conversation with GSA's Marketing & Communications team before final decisions are made. GSA is committed to building an ambassador cohort that reflects the diversity of the geoscience community—we strongly encourage applications from geoscientists of all backgrounds, career stages, and areas of expertise.
