Media Invitation: GSA Connects 2026–Cover the Conversations Shaping the Future of Earth Science
Boulder, Colo., USA: The Geological Society of America (GSA) welcomes media representatives to attend and cover our annual meeting, GSA Connects 2026, taking place from 11–14 October 2026 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, USA. This prestigious event is a cornerstone for the geoscience community, offering unparalleled opportunities for media professionals to gather news and information.
About GSA Connects 2026
GSA Connects 2026 is more than just a meeting—it's an electrifying hub for scientific discovery, tailored for geoscientists at all stages of their careers. We welcome you to the foot of the Colorado Rockies, one of the world's most geologically puzzling mountain ranges.
GSA Connects 2026 is where the latest advances in geoscience will be presented and discussed. Connects offers a unique opportunity for media representatives to cover cutting-edge technical sessions, engage with top-tier professional education, and connect with both scientists and passionate science journalists and communicators. Thousands of geoscientists will be in attendance, making this event a prime venue for capturing the innovations, insights, and connections that drive the geosciences field forward.
From Colorado's rich mining heritage to the region's pressing water challenges, Denver offers an extraordinary backdrop for this year's meeting themes—Celebrating a Century of Continental Drift: Understanding Earth in Motion; Riverscapes in Transition: Dynamics, Hazards, and Human Futures; and Innovations in Exploration from Deep Earth to Deep Space. These are three tines on the same fork, separate yet interrelated, working together to accomplish a goal—in this case, our shared goal of understanding and appreciating the workings of Earth and other planets.
