Who Can Register

  • Working Press: Journalists, photographers, videographers, bloggers, authors, and filmmakers representing bona fide news media organizations with a press card, letter, or business card from the publication.

  • Freelance Science Writers: Those presenting a current membership card from NASW, ISWA, regional affiliates of NASW, ISWA, CSWA, ACS, ABSW, EUSJA, and evidence of their reporting on science published in 2024 or 2025. Note: Authorship on technical research does not qualify for press credentials.

  • Public Information Officers (PIOs): Institutional communicators from scientific societies, educational institutions, and government agencies.
