About the Authors
Paul Brandes earned a BS in geology at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and an MS in geology at Michigan Technological University. He is the author and photographer of New Mexico Rocks! and the award-winning Michigan Rocks! as well as the photographer of Texas Rocks! He lives outside Houston, Texas, USA.
