CALL FOR PROPOSALS

We are excited to announce that the 2018 GSA Southeastern Section meeting will be held in the beautiful city of Knoxville, Tennessee. Situated in the Appalachian Valley and Ridge and the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee, Knoxville is ideally located to explore a range of sedimentologic, stratigraphic, geomorphic, paleontologic, and structural features that have served as the foundation for classical and economic geology. The Organizing Committee is now accepting proposals for Theme Sessions, Symposia, Workshops, Field Trips, and Short Courses.

The following information should be included with your submission:

  • Title of Session / Workshop / Field Trip / Short Course
  • Principal organizer (name, affiliation, and email)
  • Co-organizers (names, affiliations, and emails), if applicable
  • Identification of proposal as Theme Session, Symposium, Field Trip, Short Course, or Workshop
  • Preference for format (oral or poster), if applicable
  • Short description of submission
