Virtual Technical Session Information
Technical sessions will run on 18 and 19 May from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. CDT. Technical sessions will be condensed to
reflect only presentations being uploaded and a presentation schedule will be posted by 13 May. Poster
sessions will involve all attendees in a GoToWebinar to watch the short talks by each poster presenter and
then open it up for questions. All poster presenters are encouraged to include contact information on their
poster where they can be reached after the poster session for continued discussions.
Information For Presenters
If you are an oral or poster presenter, please check your spam for an email from GSA regarding instructions on how to upload your presentation for the virtual meeting.
Oral Presentations
Oral sessions have 20 minutes per presentation (17 minutes for presentation with 3 minutes for questions and
discussion). All oral presentations should be recorded and uploaded by 11 May at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Oral
presentations will be available for viewing as soon as they are uploaded into the Confex system. Technical
sessions will run on 18 and 19 May from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Technical sessions will be condensed to reflect
only presentations being uploaded and a presentation schedule will be posted by 13 May. Presenters are
encouraged to attend their technical session on Monday and Tuesday morning to answer questions. All
technical sessions will end with a discussion session for all attendees.
Poster Presentations
Poster sessions will run in late morning on 18 and 19 May. All poster presenters should prepare an e-poster
following directions emailed to all presenters. Presenters should then record a short video presenting their
e-poster. Videos should be kept to 3 minutes or less and uploaded along with the poster file by 11 May at
11:59 CDT.
Session Chair Orientations
All session chairs are expected to view an orientation video before the sessions they are chairing. There
should be at least two session chairs for each meeting to keep the Webinars running smoothly. Session chairs
are expected to run the videos in order, keep to the schedule, and assist with questions and answers through
the chat function. We really appreciate your help!
Presentation Recordings
All presentation recordings will be made available no later than 15 May. They will remain active and
available until 22 May. Authors may give permission for presentations to remain online, attached to their
abstract, permanently if desired.
