Activities at the Annual Meeting

Make the most of the meeting by preparing and participating in OTF activities.

Before You Arrive to the Annual Meeting

• Submit an abstract. Presenting your research is not required but it is highly encouraged.
• Register for the meeting by the early registration deadline.
• Make your travel arrangements. You are responsible for paying for all your costs up front. Check the Annual Meeting website for information on host hotels and room sharing. If you need additional funding, read through the Funding Guide for ideas.
• Use the online mentor platform to create your profile, search, and request a meeting mentor.

OTF Sessions at the Meeting

• Daily OTF Gatherings. Hear talks by key people about internships, research, and other opportunities.
• Take a group photo.
• Diversity in the Geosciences and OTF Alumni Reception. Everyone is welcome at this reception where OTF scholars are recognized.
