Become an OTF Mentor!

We are looking for dedicated professionals across employment sectors, career stages, and backgrounds to serve as On To the Future mentors at Connects 2025 in San Antonio! Effective mentoring is a critical component of the OTF experience, and many individuals find the mentoring experience personally rewarding. Individuals selected as mentors will receive orientation and learning of supportive mentoring practices prior to the annual GSA Connects conference. To recognize mentors for their service, each mentor will also receive complementary meeting registrations and travel support to participate with OTF annually.

Initiated in 2013 with support from the GSA President, Council, and Foundation, the program formed part of GSA's 125th anniversary celebrations. With funding from individual members and donors, corporate sponsors, and GSA’s Sections, Divisions, and Associated Societies, and the National Science Foundation (NSF), OTF will continue to support geoscience scholars and mentors to attend GSA Connects annual conferences.
