Featuring Dave Eaton (Director of Canadian Cordillera Array) in addition to local emergency management people telling stories of their experiences with the 2013 floods and 2016 Fort McMurray fires.

Exhibits

The 69th Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity to make contact with geoscience and geotechnical practitioners, secondary and collegiate-level educators, and their students in an atmosphere of relaxed exchange. Exhibition space is located in a heavy foot-traffic area of the meeting, and has been designed to maximize your potential for face-to-face time with the attendees.
Exhibit Hall is located in the Roderick Mah Centre (building EC). Exhibitors are asked to set up between 6 p.m. and midnight on Thursday, 8 June. Exhibit tear-down begins at 6 p.m., Saturday, 10 June. Exhibiting hours are 9 a.m.–6 p.m., 9 and 10 June.

LOCATION

Calgary is located in the heart of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin within sight of the Canadian Rockies. Our technical program explores much of the geological time scale and is intended to bridge across the North American Rocky Mountains. The field trips offer opportunities to explore our local UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as the bone beds at Dinosaur Provincial Park and the Burgess Shale Trilobite beds in Yoho National Park, the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, as well as the landscapes, geology, hot springs, and innovative carbon capture facilities of Alberta.
