GSA International Travel Grant

An Update on GSA International 2021 Travel Grant

Possibility #1: In-person meeting

If the COVID-19 situation improves and social distancing regulations are eased, then GSA Connects 2021 may be held in-person. Overseas participants will have to show proof of a negative COVID test in order to fly to the US.

Applicants do not need to be members of GSA or GSA International to apply (although it is preferred). Applicants must reside outside of North America, and they must present at the GSA meeting to be eligible to receive a check from GSA during the meeting. Please bear in mind that GSA International Travel Grants are limited both in the number of awards and the amount of the allocation. It is highly recommended that you seek local funding to offset the cost of attending the GSA Connects 2021 in Portland, Oregon.

Possibility #2: Remote meeting

If the COVID-19 pandemic situation persists and social distancing regulations are enforced, then GSA Connects 2021 will be 100% online.

In this eventuality, GSA International Travel Grants will offer a limited number of awards with a maximum cap of $100 US to each successful applicant to offset the cost of registration and abstract submission. Applicants do not need to be members of GSA or GSA International to apply (although it is preferred). Applicants must reside outside of North America.

Successful applicants must present their research virtually to be eligible to receive a check from GSA after the meeting.

To apply for a Travel Grant:

You will be asked to provide a title and author list for the abstract you plan to submit. Applicants who intend to submit an abstract will be considered for travel grants, with the expectation that you will submit your abstract on time and be presenting your abstract in-person or virtually at the meeting.

Apply
The deadline is 15 June 2021.

International management board members intend to let applicants know about their status (successful or not) by 10 July 2021.
