View of Hole in the Mountain Peak in the Ruby Mountain–East Humboldt Range metamorphic core complex, Nevada, USA. This cliff face is comprised of strongly sheared and attenuated Neoproterozoic (lower benched cliffs) through Ordovician (upper white cliffs) metasedimentary rocks, heavily intruded by Cenozoic intrusions (large dark bodies, such as in the upper left).
