Earth Science Online: GSA 2020 Technical Program Is Live
The Geological Society of America’s Annual Meeting: Connects Online,
26–30 October
Boulder, CO, USA: The scientific program schedule with abstracts
is now online and searchable for The Geological Society of America’s annual
meeting, GSA Connects Online 2020, to be held online, 26–30
October, on Eastern Daylight Time. Thousands of researchers from top
universities, institutions, and agencies will once again come together to
share data, research results, and advance the current state of
understanding in the earth sciences.
Originally planned to be held in Montréal, Québec, Canada, logistics have
changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the positive impacts of sharing
science remains the same. One obvious silver lining to the online format is
that the meeting is more accessible around the world than ever before
without the barrier of travel.
Members of the media and public information officers from scientific
societies, educational institutions, and government agencies are invited to
request complimentary press credentials, attend, and report from the
meeting on the latest findings in earth-science research. Learn more about
media eligibility for complimentary registration.
Pre-recorded presentations will be available for viewing beginning 19
October to registered meeting participants. GSA has made a substantial
investment in a custom online
conference platform
to enhance attendees’ experience with an easy-to-use, secure, and
stimulating venue.
