The Geological Society of America welcomes you to the EarthCache™ program. Here you will find the EarthCache guidelines, tips on how to get involved, and event information.
The Fifth International EarthCache Event
We are excited to announce that the 5th International EarthCache Event (5IEE) will be held on 24 Sept. 2016 in Denver, Colorado, USA, just before the GSA 2016 Annual Meeting & Exposition. The GC code is: GC6GF5D.
Visit the EarthCache Academy to learn about aspects of Earth science and to help you to both enjoy and create EarthCaches. Be rewarded with certificates and icons as you learn more about geology at your own pace.
We now offer three courses: Geologic Time, Fossils, and Earthquakes. It's easy to join and learn more about our planet. Then you can to take that information into the field by visiting and/or creating EarthCaches.
Many of you have provided input on a research survey undertaken by the Center for STEM Research, Education, and Outreach at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). We wanted to find out more about the people who visit EarthCaches, and we thank you for your input. View the SIUE Report.
