About the cover:
Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) under construction on the Blue Nile in northern Ethiopia, near the Sudan border. This will be the largest hydroelectric power plant in Africa. The large reservoir to be placed behind the dam will be filled during a 5–7-year period during which it is expected that the amount of northward Nile flow to the Sudan and Egypt will be substantially reduced.
