Media Invitation: From Field to Headline, GSA Connects 2025 Awaits

Boulder, Colo., USA: The Geological Society of America (GSA) welcomes media representatives to attend and cover our annual meeting, GSA Connects 2025, taking place from 19–22 October 2025 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA. This prestigious event is a cornerstone for the geoscience community, offering unparalleled opportunities for media professionals to gather news and information.

About GSA Connects 2025

GSA Connects 2025 is more than just a meeting—it's an electrifying hub for scientific discovery, tailored for geoscientists at all stages of their careers. San Antonio’s unique history and geology are reflected in the themes of GSA Connects 2025: Energy & Resource Innovations in the 21st Century, highlighting the Eagle Ford Shale as one of Texas’ most productive formations; Geology Without Borders, emphasizing the migration of agriculture, culture, and resources between nations; and From Earth to the Cosmos: Geoscience Beyond Our Planet, underscoring Texas’ role as a hub for planetary science.

GSA Connects 2025 is where the latest advances in geoscience will be unveiled and discussed. Connects offers a unique opportunity for media representatives to cover cutting-edge technical sessions, engage with top-tier professional education, and connect with both scientists and passionate science journalists and communicators. With our highest registration numbers and abstract submissions in several years, thousands of geoscientists will be in attendance, making this event a prime venue for capturing the innovations, insights, and connections that drive the geosciences field forward.
