Meeting of the Midcontinent: Geosciences from Canada to Mexico
Boulder, Colo., USA: The Geological Society of America’s North-Central
Section and South-Central Section will each hold their 55th Annual Meetings together in an online event on 18–20 April this year. The meeting will have
a diverse range of technical sessions, field trips, and student mentoring
opportunities. The platform will emphasize creating as much interaction and
communication among attendees as possible in an online environment.
Technical session topics include undergraduate research, agricultural
impacts on hydrology and water quality in the Midwest, fluvial systems
response to natural and anthropogenic controls, teaching geoscience online,
and karst studies from the Edwards Aquifer to the southern Minnesota karst
and from gypsum karst east through the Ozark Plateaus.
Meeting sponsors include the University of Arkansas, the University of
Missouri, and the Missouri Geological Survey.
