NSF-Funded Undergraduate Research Opportunity in France, University of Oklahoma

Attention: Undergraduates interested in geoscience (or allied disciplines)

Please consider applying for our National Science Foundation-funded International Research Experiences for Students program “Landscapes of Deep Time in the Red Earth of France— Research Training in Paleoclimate.”

We are currently accepting applications for the second field season of our program, which will involve four weeks of geological (sedimentological) fieldwork in France from late May through June 2019. It is fully-funded (in addition to a $2500 stipend), and is open to current U.S. undergraduates in geoscience (or allied) disciplines. We especially encourage applications from students of underserved groups (Native American heritage, first-generation college students), and preference will be given to students interested in geology (especially those interested in sedimentology, fieldwork, paleoclimate).

For details about the program and how to apply, visit our website (http://franceires.lsoreghan.oucreate.com/Research/). Deadline for applications is Feb. 1, 2019. Please don’t hesitate to contact Lily Pfeifer with any questions (Lspfeifer@ou.edu).
