Assistant Professor of Geology, California State University, Bakersfield

The Department of Geological Sciences at California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in Fall 2019. We seek a broadly trained geologist with applied research and teaching interests that includes (but are not limited to) hydrogeology, subsurface fluid dynamics, groundwater contamination, and groundwater sustainability. Use of GIS techniques is desirable. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory-level courses, hydrogeology, and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in the faculty member’s specialty. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2018 and continue until the position is filled.
