LOCATION
Logan is situated at a nexus of western geology, with the Rocky Mountains to the east, the Basin and Range to the west, and the Snake River Plain to the north. Geologic formations near Logan range in age from paleo-Proterozoic to Quaternary and in character from crystalline to karst.
