The 2009 Meeting of the Rocky Mountain Section of GSA will provide a relatively broad range of topics of specific interest to geoscientists in GSA’s Rocky Mountain region.
The meeting will be held in the new library building on the Utah Valley University (UVU) campus.

Reaching for Greater Heights:
Geology in the Rocky Mountains
UVU is the fastest growing institute of higher learning in Utah, and the library is a beautiful building with large, comfortable open spaces, sweeping views of the Wasatch Range and Utah Valley, and a full-service café. The library was recognized by Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. as the most energy-efficient building in the Utah higher education system. The UVU campus is within easy walking distance of hotels and restaurants and is within about an hour’s drive of eight ski resorts (at least one of which, Snowbird, should still be open at the time of the meeting).
