Message from the Co-Chairs:In the heart of the Ozarks, Branson is surrounded by spectacular geology, including numerous caves, springs, lakes, and glades. Join us for springtime in the Ozarks! On behalf of the North-Central and South-Central sections of GSA, Missouri State University and Emporia State University are pleased to host the 2010 Joint Section meeting in Branson, Missouri. We are proud to offer a diverse array of more than forty symposia, theme sessions, and workshops, plus eleven field trip options and a public-policy forum. The program features the unique karst geology of the Ozarks area and issues related to the long history of mining in the mid-continent region. Theme sessions and symposia begin at 1 p.m. Sunday and end at noon on Tuesday, allowing time for travel, a pre- or post-meeting field trip or workshop, or visit to Branson's natural and cultural attractions.
Watch this site for up-to-the-minute details on the meeting. If you have questions or special requirements, please contact the meeting Co-Chairs or the Technical Program Chair. We look forward to seeing you in Branson in April 2010! |
