- Roy J. Shlemon Mentor Program in Applied Geoscience.
Thurs.–Fri., 24–25 April, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Free meal included. - This interactive and informative program for undergraduate and graduate students, led by professional geoscientists, will cover real-life issues, including professional opportunities and challenges that await students after graduation. Plan to attend both free luncheons to hear different presenters each day.
- The John Mann Mentors in Applied Hydrogeology Program.
Thurs., 24 April, 5–6:30 p.m. Free meal included. - This early evening event presents mentoring opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, who have an interest in applied hydrogeology or hydrology as a career to interact and network with practicing hydrogeologic professionals. This program is a focused, small-scale event that features free pizza for participants.

Volunteering
The local committee and officers of GSA’s North-Central Section would like to provide free registration to a limited number of earth science students in return for ~6 hours of volunteer work. Contact student volunteer coordinator Joseph A. DiPietro, , for information.

Student Awards
Awards will be given for best student oral presentation and best student poster presentation. Students must be lead authors and presenters.
