In 1966, the North-Central Section was established by the Council of the Geological Society of America to expand section coverage for all of the United States and
Canada.

Grants
The GSA Foundation has awarded $4,500 to each of the six GSA sections. The
money, when combined with additional funds from the sections, is used to assist both undergraduate and graduate student members of GSA with research and travel. Please contact the Section
