The First Vice Chair chairs the committee that solicits nominations for and selects the winner of the Distinguished Career Award. This officer also continues preparations for symposia, theme sessions, short courses, and other events to be held at the next subsequent Annual Meeting. The First Vice Chair serves one year. The Second Vice Chair heads the committee that selects the winners of the J. Hoover Mackin (Ph.D. student) and Arthur D. Howard (M.S. student) awards for outstanding proposed research. This officer also begins preparations for symposia, theme sessions, short courses, and other events to be held at the Annual Meeting two years hence. The Second Vice Chair serves for one year. The Past Chair chairs the committee that solicits abstracts and selects papers to be presented at the upcoming Annual Meeting. This officer also serves on the Joint Technical Program Committee of GSA. The Past Chair serves for one year. Full list of duties
The Division Secretary
chairs the committee that solicits nominations for and selects
the winner of the Kirk Bryan Award for the best paper in
Quaternary Geology or Geomorphology published in the past 5
years. The Secretary also coordinates the flow of information
between GSA headquarters and the division committees, officers,
and the newsletter editor. The Secretary serves for 2 years.
Division Treasurer
Panelists serve on the committee that reviews the nominations for the Kirk Bryan Award and selects a winner. They serve for two years. Full list of duties Panel members for 2010-2012:

The Newsletter Editor prepares the Division Newsletter two times a year and is responsible for the Division website. Appointed by the Management Board, the Editor serves a two year term. Full list of duties
