The Division Secretary chairs the committee that solicits nominations for and selects the winner of the Kirk Bryan Award for the best paper in Quaternary Geology or Geomorphology published in the past 5 years. The Secretary also coordinates the flow of information between GSA headquarters and the division committees, officers, and the newsletter editor. The Secretary serves for 2 years.
