The program is designed to further cooperative research in earthquake hazard mitigation between the United States and the People's Republic of China (PRC). It is jointly sponsored by the National Science Foundation (US) and
the Ministry of Construction (PRC), and coordinated by the Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (MCEER), headquartered at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Applications are now being accepted for placement during the spring of 2003.
