The GSA Foundation's Membership Fund makes it possible for individuals who cannot afford the cost of membership, or those who experience difficulty transferring funds from their country to the USA, to become GSA members. Along with membership dues, this fund also provides for membership in one of GSA's 18 special interest Divisions.

This fund is available for newly joining applicants only, and is available for all types of GSA membership—professional, early career professional, student, K–12 teacher, and affiliate.

Qualified applicants worldwide may apply for GSA membership assistance through the Foundation's Membership Fund.

Membership includes a monthly subscription to GSA Today and GSA Connection, member-only discounts on publications, periodicals, and meeting registrations, as well as other benefits. Click on the following links for details on membership categories and benefits of membership for professionals, early career professionals, students, teachers, and affiliates.

Members in “high-income” economies receive GSA Today in print (unless they opt out) and online; other members receive online access only.

Membership dues are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions; however, your dues may be deductible as a business or other itemized expense.

**Early Career Professional, Student, and K-12 Teacher memberships include free online journals: GSA Bulletin, Geology, Geosphere, and Lithosphere.
