Field Trips & Excursions

The meeting will offer half-day and full-day trips designed for geologists and non-geologists, sightseeing trips from Sunday through Thursday, and week-long excursions. Half-day trips begin in the mornings. Trips for geologists will be lead by local leaders. Trips will be offered pre- and post-meeting. Week-long field trips for both geologists and non-geologists will be offered post-meeting. Note: All pricing includes service and VAT. Meals are excluded unless otherwise noted. Prices are in pounds sterling. Check the exchange rate at time you register. Cost for children age 14 and under is half the adult price, except for the week-long excursions, which have no price reduction for children.

All trips are subject to itinerary changes and to cancellation if minimum numbers are not achieved. The deadline for booking field trips is 30 April 2001. All requests for additions, changes, and cancellations must be made in writing by 7 May 2001. No refunds will be made on cancellation notices received after this date. Refunds will be mailed from GSL after the meeting. Refunds for fees paid by credit card will be credited according to the card number on the registration form.
