UNO Geoscientists to Present Research on Glaciation, River-Course Evolution Nov. 2-5 at National GSA MeetingOMAHA - Two geoscientists from the Department of Geography/Geology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will present research Nov. 2-5 at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America (GSA). Michael Bishop, an associate professor of geography/geology, and John Shroder, a professor of geography/geology, will be among approximately 7,200 geoscientists nationwide who are expected to attend the meeting. Held at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, it will be the largest annual meeting in GSA history. Bishop will discuss glaciation and relief production at K2 in the Karakoram Himalaya, and Shroder will share supercedent, river-course evolution with initiation of a tectonic aneurysm.
