Education and Outreach Assistant
Job Title: Education and Outreach Assistant

Employment Type: Part time (24 hours/week) / Non-Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities
This position provides assistance to the GeoCorps Program Officer and the Director of Education and Outreach.
Specific Duties Include:
- Assisting with invoicing partners and tracking invoices,
- Developing and maintaining a communication loop with GeoCorps participants and partner agency staff,
- Tracking GeoCorps participant/supervisor reports and surveys,
- Assisting with the social media marketing of GeoCorps,
- Assisting with the development of marketing materials, including brochures, pamphlets, web-pages and more,
- Assisting with other GeoCorps and E&O Department programs if required,
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated attention to detail,
- Demonstrated written, phone and social media communication skills,
- Understanding of spreadsheets and word processing,
- Working understanding of Facebook and other social media applications,
- Ability to work effectively with a team and individually on some tasks,
- Understanding of accounting practices (bookkeeping, invoicing, etc.) preferred,
- Knowledge of geoscience preferred,
- Familiarity with public lands in the U.S. (National Parks, National Forests, BLM areas, etc.) preferred.
The selected candidate may be required to travel at least 2 times per year. Qualified candidates will be subject to a background check.
