BIOGEOSCIENCES WEBSITE INTERN
Part Time: 10 to 20 hours per week
PURPOSE:
The Biogeosciences Website Intern assists in the design, routine maintenance, and updating of www.biogeosciences.org.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update and maintain the BioGeoscience Website
- Conduct scientific interviews
- Communicate frequently with colleagues and members of the scientific community
SUPERVISION:
- Direct supervision. Receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Does not supervise others.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Some knowledge and experience in Website design and maintenance
- Understanding and appreciation of biology, geology, and chemistry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to do web-based research and find relevant information for Website, such as RFPs, jobs in the biogeoscience field, and new findings/discoveries
Education or Formal Training:
- Working toward a Bachelors Degree in biology, geology, chemistry, engineering, math, computer science or related field
