Assistant Research Professor, Geosciences, The Pennsylvania State University

The Department of Geosciences at The Pennsylvania State University seeks an Assistant Research Professor to conduct research that requires the aggregation of existing data from various databases, statistical analysis, and the development of new approaches to data assimilation. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the geosciences and some postdoctoral research experience. The ideal applicant would be familiar with the study of paleoclimates and the application of numerical techniques to analyze and interpret paleoclimate proxies. This is a fixed-term, 48-week position which will be funded for 2 years from the date of hire. Applicants must upload a cover letter expressing their research interests and a CV.
