2010 GSA Annual Meeting Field Trip #413

Morrison Museum volunteer Carolina Eichinger (bottom) and director Matthew Mossbrucker (top) working in the south test trench at Quarry 10 in Morrison, Colorado. In 1877, the giant long-necked dinosaur Apatosaurus ajax was discovered at this site. Morrison Museum crews have returned to develop a better understanding of the paleoecology of the Late Jurassic.
