Travel Grants
The North-Central Section provides funds for the regional NC Section meeting as well as the national GSA Annual Meeting.
The eligibility criteria is slightly different depending on which type of meeting you are attending.

To be considered for the Annual Meeting travel grant, the student must:
- Be a Student Member of GSA. (join now or renew)
- Be enrolled in an academic department within the North-Central Section (see boundaries).
- Be registered for the GSA Annual Meeting (priority will be given to students presenting oral or poster papers).
- Complete the online Travel Grant Application Form which is available from the "Students" page in the appropriate meeting announcement during that meeting's early registration period [ view meetings ].
- FOLLOW-UP REQUIREMENTS:
Complete the faculty certification and expense estimate form. You will find a link to this PDF form on the e-mail confirmation you receive after completing the online application in step 4.
You must complete both the online application and the PDF form in order to be considered for a grant.

- Be registered for the section meeting to which you are applying for funds (priority will be given to students presenting oral or poster papers).
- Complete the online Section Travel Grant Application Form (available from the "Students" page in the meeting announcement during the early registration period).

Grant recipients must pick up their reimbursement checks in person with photo ID at the meeting.
Notification of grant status will be made prior to the cancellation deadline, so if your attendance is dependent on receipt of a travel grant and you do not receive it, you may obtain a full registration refund.
