The Life and Death of the Salt Marsh, by Teal, John and Mildred Teal
The authors describe the formation and destruction of a Cape Cod salt marsh as an example of the tragic destruction that is still occurring to this valuable habitat. Format and ISBN depends on the state. Written by local experts, this wonderful collection of books contains accessible information on state geology, especially that visible from major highways. Almost every state is represented by an individual book (i.e. The Roadside Geology of Colorado). Don't do a road trip without it!
