The program and Abstracts with Programs books are printed with 50% total recovered fiber (10% post-consumer). You can RECYCLE your badges, badge holders, and program books in the registration area after the meeting.

All GSA Courses Will be Held at UNC Charlotte–Center City

An information desk will be staffed on the first floor when you arrive. You do NOT need to visit GSA registration at the Charlotte Convention Center for your meeting badge prior to your course.

Details: Course room numbers are listed on the meeting website. Please bring your laptop fully charged; we will not have power cords. Several courses provide catered meals. For those that do not, Einstein Brothers Bagels will be open on the first floor of the UNC Charlotte Center City from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

The Paleontological Society Short Course, "Reconstructing Earth's Deep-Time Climate — The State of the Art in 2012," will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center, Ballroom B, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. No registration necessary.

Trips May Still Be Open
Want to go on a field trip but forgot to add it to your registration? There's still time!
Please call GSA's Sales & Service team at 1-888-443-4472, option 3, to check for availability and to sign up. Once you're at the meeting, you can check with the on-site registration team, Charlotte Convention Center, Concourse A. You can also pick up a copy of the meeting field guide, From the Blue Ridge to the Coastal Plain, at the GSA Bookstore in the Exhibit Hall.

Note: Charlotte is inland of the projected path of Hurricane Sandy, and we do not anticipate any disruption to the field trips planned for this meeting.

Before you leave home: Unplug all phantom power vampires (power strips and the like) and turn down your water heater.
• You can RECYCLE your badges, badge holders, and program books in the registration area after the meeting.
At your hotel: Keep maid service to a minimum, reuse your towels, and turn off the lights when you head out for the Convention Center.

Every year, GSA takes home things that don't belong to us. If you misplace something while at the Convention Center, please check for it at the Lost & Found Desk on Concourse A.
