SELECTED PRESS RELEASES RECEIVED BY GSAThe National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) has launched Earth Portal, a comprehensive, free and dynamic resource for timely, objective, science-based information about the environment.
OneGeology, a new international project under the auspices of the International Year of Planet Earth, aims to consolidate data from geologic maps around the world. Fifty-five nations are already participating. The IUGS will determine how national databases will be standardized, and hopes to have an online database available in 2008.
