The Online Glacier Photograph Database "Long-Term Change Photograph Pairs," features comparative photographs of Alaskan glaciers, that demonstrate substantial changes in glacier position and size over time.
The NOW (Neogene of the Old World) database contains information about Eurasian Miocene to Pleistocene land mammal taxa and localities, with emphasis on the European Miocene and Pliocene.
Communicating the Value of Geoscience
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
GSA along with AGU and AGI cosponsored a booth at the Coalition for National Science Funding Exhibition and Reception held in Washington, D.C., 7 June 2006. The event attracted more than 350 attendees including Members of Congress and congressional staff.

Research by Via and Thomas on evolution of Atlantic thermohaline circulation (Geology, June 2006) received coverage in Science.

A study of El Niño-like conditions during the Pliocene by Ravelo et al. (GSA Today, March 2006) was reported in a comprehensive article in Science looking at the Pliocene as a predictor of Earth's future climate.
