GSA MARS FORUM
Now Available via Webcast!

The first GSA Webcast is now online, courtesy of a grant from Subaru of America, Inc. Organized by GSA's Planetary Geology Division, "Public Forum on Mars: The Latest (Red) Dirt from the Mission Makers" took place at the 2004 Annual Meeting in Denver. Top scientists working on active Mars exploration missions spoke to a non-technical audience and answered questions from Mars enthusiasts of all ages. Enjoy!

2005 Research Grants: Thank you to all 720 students who applied for the first on-line research grant program!  This year we had a record number of applicants with a 23% jump in applications over the past 10 years. Winning proposals will be selected at the 19 March Research Grant Committee meeting and all students will be notified of their grant status by late April.  Checks will be mailed at that time as well.  Applicants can still view and print their applications by logging in at the site.
