Dear GSA Member,
GSA Corporate partners bring value to members in many ways, and we are pleased to share with you a unique educational opportunity made possible by GigaPan Systems as part of its ongoing support of GSA and the geosciences.
GigaPan invites you to participate in a hands-on workshop focusing on shooting high-resolution images and creating interactive panoramas using GigaPan Technology. The workshop will take place in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, 2 March, from 8:30 a.m.–2 p.m.
This workshop is perfect for any photographer looking to learn how to capture amazingly detailed images and panoramas. Whether you have a simple Point & Shoot digital camera or a higher end DSLR camera, you’ll learn how to shoot high-resolution images with an EPIC programmable camera mount.
The workshop will teach you how to set up the equipment and shoot images using an EPIC Series robotic camera mount. Afterwards, you’ll return to the GigaPan headquarters to learn how to stitch your images together using GigaPan’s stitch software and how to upload your image at gigapan.com for viewing and sharing.
Taught by GigaPan staff, the half-day workshop will also include a tour of GigaPan. The cost to participate is $50 per person and space is limited to 20 people. Lunch will be provided.
Attendees are required to bring their own camera and tripod for shooting. A laptop is recommended for the afternoon stitching portion of the workshop. If you do not have a laptop, you can still attend but will have to stitch images after the workshop.
At the end of the session, attendees will receive a 20% discount coupon to purchase any of the EPIC Series, as well as a free 13-inch print.
When: Saturday, 2 March, 8:30am – 2:00pm
