The innaugural Shlemon Specialty Conference in Engineering Geology will be held in El Paso, Texas, on April 1, 2, and 3, 2004. Sponsored by the Association of Engineering Geologists and the Engineering Geology Foundation, and made possible by a generous contribution from Dr. Roy Shlemon, these conferences will provide a forum for engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers, and related professionals to advance the state of their science through congenial and highly focussed technical symposia.

The El Paso conference will consist of keynote oral presentations by selected experts, volunteered oral/poster presentations by conference attendees, a field trip, and a 1/2 day wrap up session to help define future research directions and data needs.

Please join us for what promises to be the first of many exciting and important symposia.

Symposium Discussion Topics

  • Processes Leading to Fissure Formation
