International Travel Grants to GSA Meetings

The Society does not have programs that provide financial assistance for travel to the USA for education.
International Palaeontological Congress
The Geological Society of America, Paleontological Society, and the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology are providing travel grants (in the range of $500-1000) for student members who will be presenting at the 5th International Palaeontological Congress in Paris, France.
Eligibility: Student members of the Geological Society of America, Paleontological Society, or the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. Students must be presenting their research at the meeting in either oral or poster format.
What to submit: 1) Your abstract, including author list; 2) a short statement describing financial need, including other funds that are available to you or that you have applied for, and how attendance at the IPC will help your professional development; and 3) the participating society (or societies) that you are a member of.
Deadline: Submit all materials (as a single pdf file) to Matthew Clapham, , by Sunday, 15 April.
Evaluation criteria: Recipients will be chosen on the basis of demonstrated financial need, the potential for conference attendance to benefit professional development, and the clarity of the scientific objectives in the work to be presented at the conference.
