Information for Job Seekers
Overview
GSA's Employment Service Center (ESC) maintains a Web-based applicant database of individuals actively seeking career positions in the geosciences. Job seekers are able to post and update an online profile which employers can access according to their position requirements.
Employers post their job openings (for viewing only by registered applicants) on GSA's ESC Web site and on-site at our Annual Meeting. Additionally, the ESC offers opportunities for candidates to connect with potential employers for face-to-face interviews at GSA's Annual Meeting.
Interviewing at GSA's Annual Meeting
Interviews are usually scheduled in half-hour increments. There are two interview scheduling formats:
- Pre-Scheduled Format:
This is now an online system. If an employer wants to set up an interview with you , you will receive an e-mail from that employer.
- Open Scheduling Format:
GSA schedules interviews for interested and qualified candidates on-site based on employers' available time slots.
Message Service to and from Employers at Annual Meeting
Communication to and from employers occurs on site at the ESC during the Annual Meeting. All messages must be filled out and retrieved in person.
